# Fixed Discounts

> Create and manage percentage discounts that apply when an order reaches a minimum value.

## What this page is for

Fixed Discounts manages automatic discount rules based on an order's minimum value. These rules are separate from codes that customers type in.

## What you can configure

* Minimum order value
* Percentage discount
* Start and end dates
* Whether the discount recurs
* Number of uses
* Packages the rule applies to

Review overlapping rules carefully. A change to a fixed discount can affect checkout totals without the customer entering a code.

## Field details

* **Minimum order value**: The order total that must be reached before the rule applies.
* **Discount value**: The percentage removed when the minimum is met.
* **Start date** and **End date**: The active period for the rule.
* **Recurring**: Applies the rule to recurring charges when enabled.
* **Uses**: Limits how many orders can use the rule.
* **Selected packages**: Restricts the rule to the chosen products.
